Oral History, Letters and Family

Interesting article in today's NYT titled "Questioning Privacy Protections in Research." For any family building an archive, this may have relevance. How can it be used and for what purposes? We've got dozens of oral history audio tapes now put on DVDs. We have three generations of letters, all neatly filed by my Dad, that flew back and forth to Aruba, Ithaca, Houston, New York City, Haverford, PA, Chicago, Watertown, NY and Cornwall, Ontario. I've sent this link on to my daughter, the librarian archivist, so she can weigh in.
