We have few doubts that ALF Class XVII had more members in evidence at last evening's annual ALF awards dinner than from any other class. We totaled thirteen, over 50% of our class. It truly felt like a mini-reunion. All the kidding and familiarity we feel with one another is still there.
Our class had two mayors at the table, 'so far,' someone said. Houston's Mayor Annise Parker and Galveston's former Mayor Barbara Crewes. Thanks to everyone for answering the call to get together. We missed our classmates who weren't present. And there was consensus that we need a weekend together next fall like the ones we used to organize at a house in the country or at the beach.
