Potluck Picnic in Discovery Park

Days in Seattle are filled from early morning until well after the sun sets. I've not posted in almost a week. Yesterday was the second time around for a four generation picnic on the big hill in Discovery Park. Perfect blue sky day.
Kids ran up and down the big hill, we flew kites with them and Laura helped set up. Caroline ordered home made tamales, a real treat in Seattle. And she also brought a divine curry dip in a hollowed out pineapple. Add a seven layer dip, jambalaya, green salad and Kate's black berry cobbler and the picnic tables were loaded.
Today it's dark and dreary, raining and chilly. I have another day before I fly back to Houston so hope to get another post or two written about these very full days. And I have significant news to share too. Just need the time to write.
